Being selected as a finalist from a global pool of nominees by a panel of Microsoft executives and industry experts is a significant achievement for our team.

This nomination is a testament to the impactful work we have accomplished with nonprofits around the globe. Our collaboration with organisations like Samaritans of Singapore (SOS), SEWA Rural, and Palmera has been instrumental in demonstrating the power of technology to drive social change.

1. Case Study of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS)

One of the proudest moments in our journey of helping nonprofit organisations has been our partnership with the Samaritans of Singapore (SOS). This organisation provides crucial emotional support to individuals in distress, but they faced significant challenges in managing the overwhelming number of requests for help coming from various channels- phone, email, and social media.

To address this, we implemented a streamlined communication platform using Dynamics 365. This solution created a central hub that collected all incoming requests from different channels, enhancing communication between volunteers and individuals seeking help. This solution not only improved response times but also ensured that every request for help was heard and addressed promptly.

The result? The implementation of the omnichannel Dynamics 365 Customer Service module resulted in a 100% increase in response rate, empowering SOS volunteers to provide 24×7 virtual support.

John Lam, the Project Manager at SOS, expressed his satisfaction:

“Samaritans of Singapore worked collectively with Exigo Tech to extend their current investment in Dynamics 365 Customer Service through Omnichannel and made it possible to communicate and find help through phone, webchat, and WhatsApp chat, including surveys pre and post communication, to help individuals receive emotional support for those in distress. 2. SEWA Rural

SEWA Rural is the dedicated team on the frontlines of providing health and development activities in rural tribal areas of India. They help marginalised and underserved sections of society i.e., women, tribals and the poor. Their mission was hampered by an outdated IT system, and that’s where Exigo Tech stepped in.

We assessed their specific needs and leveraged Microsoft’s cloud solutions to build a modern workplace environment. Implementing M365 applications like Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive, we improved efficiency and offered in-house training on Microsoft Apps and Security Awareness.

The results were remarkable. Productivity soared by 30%, enabling them to dedicate more time to their core mission. A significant cost savings of up to 35%, an increase of 22% in the adaptation of M365 apps, and 99.9% uptime of virtual servers. More than these numbers, the most satisfying outcome is that the SEWA Rural team felt empowered and efficient through these solutions. SEWA Rural shared their experience with us:

3. Palmera

Another champion, Palmera was battling against the food shortage crisis in Sri Lanka. The economic crisis due to Covid curfews hit really badly for some of the vulnerable families there. They struggled to have food even for their children and did not have hope of any aid as no one was aware of their situation.

They needed to gather extensive data on families’ needs, but without advanced data analytics, this was challenging. Exigo Tech introduced Microsoft Power Platform’s suite of solutions, enabling Palmera to capture data on food needs instantly. Power Apps allowed field workers to collect ground-level information easily, and Power BI reports provided detailed insights for effective interventions.

Our solution helped Palmera deliver the right kind of help to those in need, quickly. We are talking about the most basic requirement of the human being- Food, reaching the needy! Over 20,000 people received food aid, achieving 99% food security in the regions they served. This success underscores the power of technology to meet the most basic human needs during a crisis.

These success stories showcase our commitment to leveraging technology for social impact, empowering nonprofits to achieve their missions more effectively.
